Colégio do Vale provides a transport service for its students, using 2 light 9-seater vehicles, duly approved for the collective transport of children.

Routes and timetables are organized annually after the end of the registration period.

FOOD

SUMMARY

Food is a determining factor in the cognitive development and academic performance of children and young people and, in this sense, the World Health Organization recognizes the importance of school meals and that a healthy and nutritionally balanced diet should be a priority of all school policies.

In this sense, Colégio do Vale has developed its food policy, the main objective of which is to provide healthy, safe, nutritionally balanced menus, with an energy value proportional to the average needs of students, respecting principles of reducing harmful nutrients such as sugars, fats and salt. To this end, we have a team of professionals trained in HACCP - Food Hygiene and Safety, in Food Production and Cooking, an external HACCP team and a Nutritionist.

Our meals are prepared entirely at the school, using fresh products and avoiding the use of pre-made, pre-prepared or processed products whenever possible. There are 3 dishes available daily: main course, diet and ovo-dairy-vegetarian option.

The daily plan for each student includes: morning reinforcement, lunch, snack and afternoon reinforcement (for students with extension).

The Psychopedagogy Office is an Educational Guidance Structure, for psychological monitoring and assessment, which provides technical and consultative support to any structure of the College, in the areas of psychology, pedagogy and within the scope of school and vocational guidance, integrating a Psychologist.

We also have the following external services:

Speech Therapy;
Reeducation/Rehabilitation;
Psychomotricity;
Special Education in the cognitive-motor domain;
Special Education/Early Intervention.

ON HOLIDAYS

In the first fortnight of July, Colégio do Vale organizes, for its students and external students, between the ages of 3 and 9, a Holiday Camp/Fun Holiday Program.

The objective of this activity is to provide moments of healthy relaxation and fun for students, as well as opportunities for non-formal learning in diverse contexts.

Thus, during this fortnight, students can enjoy mornings at the beach and afternoons of sporting, cultural and recreational activities carried out mainly outdoors, not only at the School, but in various other locations.

Colégio do Vale has established commercial protocols with several Associations/Companies in order to provide special conditions for the enrolment of the children of their Associates and/or Employees. The conditions in force for each academic year should be consulted with the Human Resources department of your companies or at Colégio do Vale reception.

Colégio do Vale has several commercial and socio-pedagogical partnerships with companies from various sectors of activity and, through them, our Students/Families and Employees have access to special conditions in the acquisition of goods or services, screenings and awareness-raising lectures on various topics.
