The Nursery Curriculum is developed and organized by the Educator, taking into account the group of children, the educational environment and the intentions that aim to promote a set of activities and projects that promote significant learning. Inspired by the principles of the Modern School Pedagogical Model (MEM), educational guidelines and priorities are defined, respecting the individuality of each child and prioritizing their basic needs.

The educational team plays a leading role in the development of the Preschool Education Curriculum, with a view to promoting a cross-cutting, articulated and contextualized approach across the different Content Areas, as provided for in the Curricular Guidelines. In managing the curriculum, we are inspired by the principles of the Modern School Pedagogical Model (MEM), ensuring the active participation of children and giving meaning to their achievements and learning.

The 1st CEB curriculum follows the principles of an active pedagogical model, centered on students and knowledge, where the acquisition of knowledge arises from multiple possibilities and interests.
The curricular organization also provides for the development of a set of other skills, values and practices that are included in the culture of our School.

2ND CYCLE OF BASIC EDUCATION

The 2nd cycle curriculum provides a diversified and differentiating offer, including several complementary curricular offers with a view to emphasizing curricular areas of relevance for the students' training and personal and social enrichment, as well as facilitating their transition and adaptation process to this cycle.

Aiming at the comprehensive education of students in all their dimensions and potential, the curricular offering of the 3rd cycle, similarly to the 2nd cycle, provides curricular complements to the remaining curricular areas and also includes activities within the scope of School and Vocational Guidance in order to support students in the transition process to secondary education.

DUAL DIPLOMA

Colégio do Vale is recognized and authorized by “Academica International Studies” , the largest educational organization in the USA, to promote the Dual Diploma ®
The Dual Diploma® offers students from the 8th grade onwards the possibility of dual certification of 3rd cycle and Portuguese Secondary Education and American High School.
Students in the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grades may be enrolled in Portuguese Education (in person) and simultaneously in a High School in the USA (in distance learning), through their registration at Colégio do Vale.
All students from the 10th grade onwards, after leaving Colégio do Vale, remain enrolled here for the Dual Diploma®.
The DUAL Diploma Program offers many values and advantages to students, highlighting three main objectives:
* Language Immersion: The program is conducted entirely in English and offers constant and direct contact with the United States.
* Technological Immersion: 100% Online, allows students to work and develop in a fully digital environment
